The Last Mages of Amatsu

The Last Mages of Amatsu, the fourth book in the Sins of Vertex series. In this RPG players are powerful mages from a world called Amatsu. You have stolen lightless fire and wield spiritual magic.

Players may play in any or all of the three eras of Amatsu.

Its Golden Age, where the colours seemed brighter and the world during this time thrummed with the clamour of spirits and the mages who studied them. 

 The Dread Day, when Vertex came to Amatsu and turned it into nothing but ash and blood.

The Dark Age, where mages either ply their broken mage towers across the void or eke out a meager existence on the post-apocalyptic hellscape of their devastated world.

New Mechanics: Stress for Resolve, Healing, Spirits.

It is based on Grant Howitt's ENNIE award-winning Sexy Battle Wizards.

The stats were reworked into Approaches inspired by Gila RPGs' Lumen system.

Mission mechanics and relevant skills were inspired by John Harper's Blades in the Dark and Lasers and Feelings respectively.

Like other books in the series, it also functions as a class for a diverse party in the Sins of Vertex series.

The idea is inspired by various mangas such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Bleach, Dorohedero, and Dai Dark. I hope you enjoy it and any thoughts would be welcomed!
